I ordered a few items to-go from here, some were great, some were decent. Fried Dumpling Trio - these get a little soggy when ordered for take out, but the dumplings are solid. Salt and Pepper Flounder - I love fried fish dishes, but I found the breading to a be a bit too thick and aggressive. The alternative is breading that becomes soggy, which is more common. But I found there wasn't enough fish in my pieces. Szechuan Style Chicken - I loved the flavor on this dish. A little spicy, a little tangy, just great flavor and combination of vegetables. Eggplant with Garlic Sauce - this dish was alright, I thought the sauce was a bit too liquidy. I prefer a slightly thicker sauce, which doesn't make the vegetables in the dish too water absorbed. Overall, solid Chinese food option! Might just need to figure out which sauces/dishes you like best here.

We came here on a Saturday after I said yes to the dress! Such a cute restaurant that sits atop the hill in this shopping plaza off Capital of Texas Highway. I was really excited to try their dim sum since the owners owned the original fortune, the space is pretty small but we got there really early and they easily sat our table for 4. It fills up really fast but dim sum comes out super fast so the turn around for tables is really fast. We ordered several dumplings including 2 orders of soup dumplings, 2 orders of pan fried pork dumplings, chilli wontons, shumai, and some egg custard buns for dessert. Everything was delicious! We also had turnip cakes and Chinese broccoli in a brown sauce. Everything was super flavorful minus the turnip cakes that tasted somewhat bland. It's best to come with a group since everything is family style but you'll definitely leave stuffed for a reasonable price! A must go to spot in Austin if you're looking for authentic cheap dim sum!

It was my first time here and surprisingly (and I say surprisingly because there are not a lot of options for good dim sum here in Austin) everything that we ordered was delicious! I really love the steamed spare ribs. The flavor is just right. Each dish is also a decent size! Love the classic hargow (shrimp dumplings) and siumai. I thought it was interesting that they also sell sushi-I thought it was only a dim sum restaurant. They don't have a lot of variety for dim sum dishes. Maybe next time I'll try their sushi. Overall, not a long wait, great dim sum flavors!

Despite Austin being a mecca for foodies, dim sum places are slim pickings in this city. Jade Restaurant will satisfy your dim sum cravings but it isn't comparable to to Dallas or Houston's offerings. I've ordered from both the dimsum and regular menu, I would recommend the following items: - pork and shrimp sui mai : plump, juicy pieces, comes w/4 - salt and pepper shrimp: generous portion with a thin batter. - shrimp balls -mapo tofu - dry sauteed green beans Overall, I would order from here again since prices are reasonable and generous portions!

Were craving dim sum so we stopped here. It's order only and no cart is pushed around for you to pick from Overall, food tasted good! Don't expect top notch dumplings or shumai (like from Lin or Qi) I enjoyed their sticky rice and Chinese Broc dish. we'd recommend Jade if you want dim sum in the Austin area! Good service and ambiance is casual.
